With the clicking of your keyboard and the turn of a mouse you’ve arrived at one of several entry points into the community known as Mississauga Temple. As a faith based community our goal is simple: To lift up the glorious name of Jesus! With a weekly worship service each Sunday at 10:30 AM and a host of other meetings, including Friday night Celebrate Recovery, there is hope today!

April showers have brought the May flowers! Many who read this would classify themselves as a gardener! Others would not put themselves in the category of ‘green thumb’. How thankful those of us are who get by ‘with a little help from our friends!” Whether we count on friends or not we all count on the rain and the sun to do much of the work! We certainly need those ingredients! The Bible speaks of gardening! In the Bible we read: “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. When I was young I would visit my Uncles’ greenhouses. Certain times of the day were for ‘watering.’ I didn’t get that job because one had to know how much water to give the plants. I probably would have hosed down a few cousins as well….But, I do remember dirt under my nails, the result of planting seeds or clippings. Both the ‘waterer’ and the ‘planter’ were of equal importance in the green house. In the world, believers all have a part to play in planting and watering seeds in the Kingdom of God. As we walk in obedience to Jesus we can be certain that we will be watering or planting seeds through the work of the Holy Spirit in our homes, workplaces, places of recreation, neighborhoods and church. Others will grow in Christ becoming more like Him! So, the truth is gardeners we are! This year as spring evolves keep your garden beautiful but especially tend to the garden of your heart. A healthy spiritual heart will accomplish much in the area of sowing seeds and watering! Together we will watch God do the growing! |
